Young Scotland in Mind Conference 19 June 2015

on in News

Dear YSIM Member

As many of you will know The Scottish Government ceased funding the forum last April. We have been keen to sustain the forum and give members the opportunity to see how best we can take it forward in the absence of any funding.

We feel that there is a need to sustain the network: we have over 200 members and 245 followers on twitter and we are still passing on and sharing a lot of information.

What we have agreed is that Barnardo’s Scotland and SAMH will take YSIM forward as a partnership. This partnership will host the forum, manage the website and social media and also provide strategic management and coordinate relevant policy consultations from the membership.

We have planned an event for Friday 19 June 2015 at the Thistle King James hotel in Edinburgh and so we are asking for you to join us!

The aim of this event is to reflect on where the forum is and why Barnardo’s Scotland and SAMH are taking things forward for now. We will then break into group discussions on how best to take the forum forward, what can it do for you and what can members do too also.
